So my little Jasmine is becoming quite the fashion diva. She loves getting herself dressed in outfits only she can piece together. Sometimes they even actually match! :-) She lays out her clothes on her dresser each night after I tuck her in, and she lays them out so neatly,and so thoroughly with shoes on top,it is adorable! Here are some pictures of Jasmine after getting herself dressed one day...and she put the bow in too! And also there is a picture of her clothes laid out after she went to sleep.

I took this pic one night after she was asleep, this is exactly how she set them out. Mommy did not touch them. :)

And here she is striking a few poses, proudly, in an outfit she picked out, complete with a bow. :)

Yes, I know. It has been way too long since I updated...sorry!

Last week we went to the Jasmine Moran Children's Museum with me and my girls, my mom and dad, Rachael, Amy, Katie-Kate & Liz. We all had so much fun (adults included). Not to mention it was pretty cool to have the 5 "original" Tuters together, just us and our kids. :) Here are some fun pics from the day.....

Drum roll please....My flowerbeds are done! Jonathan & I went Friday night and picked out all the flowers. (After MUCH helpful advice from Kim Werner!) Anyway....then came the hard part. Planting them all. Somehow in my mind I was thinking it would take 2-3 hrs. I was outside for 7 HOURS!!!!! Yes, I am burnt to a crisp! Here are a few pics. (Disclaimer: I know it is far from perfect and even now when I look at it, I see different places I should have put things, or moved things over a few inches one way or the other, but it is not changing for a long while! :-)

I know it looks a little empty right now, but the shrubs will grow so it will look more full later. Thank you so much Kim for all your advice! I have to admit I am quite proud of my accomplishment....my first flowerbed! :-)

Quick Update

Well, WE HAVE MOVED!!!!!!! That is about all I have for now because it is 12:36 am Thursday morning, and I am at IHOP trying to catch up on the internet because we still don't have any at the new house. But, we are getting settled in. I think the girls are getting used to it, slowly. I don't know if they are getting used to sharing a room yet though...they have yet to fall asleep before 11pm. Usually Savanna is the one up the latest. I think Jasmine eventually falls asleep inspite of Savanna's chatter. It will get really quiet for a few minutes, and then I will hear Savanna.... "Hi! Hi! Hi!" and then getting louder and more urgent when Jasmine does not respond. I think she would stay up and talk all night if she could and Jasmine would... :-) Anyway, as soon as we get internet up at the house, I will try to post some pictures.

Wow, once again I have neglected my blog. But in all fairness, I have had a lot going on! First, house update...it is almost finished!!!!! We are still planning on closing on Friday, May 1. :-) If I can get everything packed, (big IF) we will try to move that weekend. We have so much going on though because Jonathan has a busy couple of weeks at work, I am still working every night, we need to finish the inserts that we do for Dad's business, I need to clean the houses I clean monthly, we need to pack, we need to clean this house, and somewhere in there we have to find time for our two little ones! (and I'm sure I forgot something in there!) Anyway...(deep breath)...this morning I squeezed in some time to take a few pics of the girls with the help of my mom, because it looks so beautiful right now here in "Tuterville". I don't have time to post many, but I wanted to post a few. And for those of you looking for house pics, Im sorry, but I have either forgotten my camera or the battery has been dead the last few times. I should go by there on Friday and will try to take some, but for now, here are my sweeties! :-)

Girls Night Out

A couple weeks ago I was able to have a girls night out with my good friend Erin. We went to a David Archuletta concert. (If you don't know who he is, he was the runner up on American Idol last season.) It was a lot of fun, but it was a very cold windy day and I stood outside in line for about 45 minutes!

All ready to go have fun! :-)

This is the line I was waiting in, and it was SO windy & cold!

....but the cold and wind was worth it, it was a great concert!

On a different note....it looks like we should be closing on our house on May 1. We have already locked into our interest rate. We got a great rate, so we are excited about that! Let the packing begin! :-) I will post new house pics soon.

House update

So it has been over a month since I posted on here, as my sister so lovingly pointed out to me. :-) These last few weeks have been a whirlwind. Anyway...the house is looking great! We are thinking we will be moving sometime in May. Here are some pictures of the brick going up.

In addition to the stone around the vent, there is now stone across the top of the garage, and over the entry way. I need to go by and get some more pics! They also will be doing a light smear over all the brick to lighten it up just a bit.

Here are some pics of the tile.

I think the floor tile looks a bit darker in person. It is the same tile that you see on the master bath shower and tub. Here a couple pics of my black/creme tile in the main bath, not grouted yet though....I think I am going to LOVE it!

I plan to get some picture this weekend of the cabinets & trim. They had them in last weekend, but still had to paint/stain.
Well, I think that's about it for now....I have a couple more things to post so I will try to do that ASAP! (Like the girls birthday :-)

Savanna's rough day

Savanna had a rough day today. I had to take her to the doctor because she has not been feeling well. They decided to do some tests for allergies, so they had to draw blood....I was not mentally prepared for this! All you moms out there know how it is when you are taking your baby in for vaccines, you mentally prepare yourself. Well, I wasn't able to do that, and it was horrible! So much worse than vaccines. I had to lean over her body, and hold both of her shoulders down and she screamed the whole time. I didn't think that little tube would ever fill up with blood! But, we both survived.....here are a few pics of her after the doctor visit.

Of course, Jasmine was the ever so helpful big sister today! She did a great job helping me comfort Savanna. :-)

My Precious Jasmine Daphne Small

Happy 3rd Birthday Jasmine! (mommy's a couple days late... =)

Is it possible that it has been 3 years since I gave birth to my precious Jazzi? Wow, time flies! But you all know that already, especially those of you that are parents. Jasmine has been and continues to be such a blessing in my life and in the life of our family. She is such a light! She brightens up even the darkest day with her beautiful contagious smile, and her positive outlook on life.

She is quick to forgive mommy when I wrong her, and loves me no matter what!

She definetely has made her share of messes.......like this example with the chocolate milk! :)

She is a fantastic big sister! She loves Savanna sooo much and would do anything to protect her. She gets upset if someone she doesn't know is holding her. She will tell them don't hold Savanna!

Jasmine, you are such a beautiful person, and I love you so much! You have blessed my life so much, and I look forward to being a part of yours, and watching you grow into a beautiful, loving, young lady....you are well on your way! I am so blessed to know you, and even more blessed to be your mom. I love you.

Savanna has a favorite show called "Boz the Bear". Jasmine has always liked it too, but it is pretty comical the way it keeps Savanna's attention. As soon as the music comes on she starts boucing & dancing!

A couple days ago when I went to get Jasmine up from her nap, this is what I found....I guess she has an artistic side. :) (Hint - look at the rails and headboard)

Last Sunday Jasmine wore a pretty new Christmas dress to church that my mom bought her and she really liked it. This Sunday she wore pants and when we were on the way to church she told me, "Mommy, I'm sad." I asked her why was she sad and she said (with a very sad face), "because I'm not wearing my pretty dress." She is becoming quite the little lady! But then she told me yesterday, "Mommy, I like boys, do you like boys?" WHAT?! She is not even three! Oh well, I have to laugh....and try not to worry too much. :)

Good News!

Well, things are finally looking up on the house! Another division of Brass Brick homes has taken over and building is resuming. They estimate a completion in about 60 days! :) I can hardly believe it! I can't wait to start watching things take shape again. To see the brick, the paint, the floors, etc. :) I will be taking pictures through out the process and will try to keep them updated on here. Sorry I have not updated in almost a month. It just seems like right now my life is kids, work, and sleep. The girls are doing great. Savanna is so close to walking, I just keep waiting on her to take off anyday now. She will be 1 on February 20th. And can you believe Jasmine will be 3 in just a couple weeks???? On February 2nd my "baby" will be 3!!!! :-( What is funny is in a lot of ways she seems so much older to me than that. She is a joy, and always keeps me hopping!
Jonathan sits for the fourth and final part of the CPA exam on February 29th. Please keep him in your prayers, as this is a very busy time for him at work and makes finding adequate time to study quite the challenge. If he passes this part he will be done!!!!! :)

I love this video of Jasmine. I think it just really captures her personality. Just a couple notes about the video.....I did not coach her on any answers :), and you will hear her mention Madison, I think she is talking about her friend Madison, (who even though Jazzi says she is 3, is actually 8 or 9). Also, "Baby Daniel" is Rachelle's baby (my sister-in-law). Jasmine loves him sooo much! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this cute, short, video. :) Let me know what you think.

So, I haven't posted in a while, because I haven't had time to sit down and post pictures, and I figure no one looks at this to see what I have to say, but to see pics of my cute kids, lol. :) But, I figured I better post something so I don't lose all my readers....
How about an update on the house? Well....that is a long story, but long story short. The builder is having financial problems and currently have all construction on hold while they reorganize themselves and try to sell some of their finished homes. So at this time, we are being told that they believe they will still be able to finish our home, but they don't know when....oh boy. Mainly, I just want it done, and done right. And although I am anxious to have my new home, I am in no hurry to move. So I guess I am learning patience...again...
Jasmine and Savanna are better than ever. They have actually both been healthy for a while..yay! They are really playing and interacting a lot and it can be quite funny, but also quite annoying, as Jasmine likes to sometimes pick on Savanna, and Savanna will not have that and she will let Jasmine know what she thinks. She definetely can stand up for herself. :) But sometimes it gets quite loud. Yesterday I moved all the toys out of the livingroom and into the guestroom to form a sort of "playroom". The girls actually seem to like it, and I like having my livingroom back!

So I am posting pics of Jasmine with her hair straight. It is not chemically straightened, I just have started blow-drying it straight because it is much easier to brush each day. It only stays "straight" for the first day, and then after that some of the curls return, but it is still much easier! :) I think she looks so much more grown up, what do you think?

Rachael & Brandon had their beautiful baby girl yesterday morning, November 11, at 10am. She weighed 6lbs 8.5oz. She is so pretty! Rachael did an AMAZING job. Rachael, you're my hero!!!! You were an awesome example. :) Thanks so much Brandon and Rachael, for letting me a part of such an intimate part of your lives. I love you both!

Feeling yucky....

Well, the last few days Jonathan, Savanna, & I have been passing around a stomach virus. Jasmine is the only one who hasn't got it, and hopefully she doesn't get it at all. I am the only one at this point who is still feeling a little yucky. Anytime I eat anything I am sick to my stomach. (Before any of you jump to conclusions, NO I am NOT pregnant!!!!) Other than that, not much new is going on around here. Jasmine keeps saying funny things. The other day she was "introducing" Savanna and I to a friend. She said, "this is my sister, Savanna, and this is my sister, Mommy." :) I explained that I am not her sister, I am her mommy, so the next time I got introduced as, "not my sister, just my mommy".... haha! Oh, and Savanna is crawling now! I am going to put new batteries in my camera this week and get a little video. Even as she grows it is funny to see the differences between her and Jasmine. Once Jasmine learned to crawl, she was not content to sit in one spot and play on the floor anymore, Savanna still is. :) Sorry still not pics this today, but I will take some this week! ( I hope....) Actually I have an old one that I will post that I dont think I have posted before. This is when Savanna was very little, and Jasmine tried to help her by giving her something...she figured this thing usually makes mommy happy, I bet Savanna will like it to! :)

Time for an update

Well, there is not much new going on here in the Small household. Right now our busy work/study/care for children schedule is keeping us from doing many interesting things....I was just telling Jonathan the other night sometimes I feel like somekind of recluse because I feel like other than work, I rarely ever go anywhere! But, this is just for a season, and will be worth it. =-)
The girls are doing good. Jasmine acts & talks more "grown-up" every day. She never ceases to make me laugh...even sometimes when as the mom, I should not be laughing, haha. =-) Savanna is doing good too. Growing like crazy! Yesterday she was 8 months old, and tomorrow she has her 8 month check up at the pediatrician, so I will find out how much she really has grown! Yesterday, she had her first ponytail. It was so cute, but when I went to take a picture, my batteries were dead. =-( So, we will do it again soon, take a picture, and call that her "first" ponytail! She is also starting to crawl. She does this kind of inchworm movement, hard to explain, but she get to what she wants! The other day there was a container of fruit puffs on the floor, (her favorite snack) with a lid on it, and she got over to it, got the lid off and was happily munching away by the time I walked back into the livingroom. =-)
Well, thats all for now. Keep Jonathan in your prayers, he is preparing for the next part of the CPA exam, which I think he sits for November 8.

Jasmine's mess

The other day, Jasmine was in the back of the house, and had walked back there (without my knowledge), with a cup of chocolate milk. Apparently, she tripped and fell while holding it, and came out saying "uh-oh"...I looked up and this is what I saw.

She is explaining to me what happened. "Mommy, I tripped."

At least it was a tasty mess... =-)

(Oh, and Dad, if you look at this, don't worry, we cleaned up the "stickiness" just as soon as I took the pictures. =)

I haven't put any new pics up of the house lately because the things they are working on now are not super noticeable in pictures. Things like wiring, plumbing, air ducts, etc. I think they are getting ready to insulate and put up sheetrock, so I will post pics when that is done!

Bouncing can make you sleepy.....

Today was the first day Savanna really enjoyed her johnny-jump-up. She was having so much fun jumping and down! It was adorable! Here is a short clip of her bouncing. =-)

Then watch what happens after bouncing a while...it is way too cute! She ends up bouncing/rocking herself to sleep, but intermittently bouncing while sleeping. =-)

Yesterday I took Jazzi & Savanna to Aunt Amy's for the day, so I could go through all the girls clothes before the big consignment sale on Saturday. I left the camera there, and these are the pics that got sent home...=-)

House update

Well, the foundation is laid and the boards are there ready for the framing....and our sign is up with our name on it....this is really happening! =-0

Right now I am nervous because the foundation looks SO SMALL to me! But, they warned me that it would look very small and not to worry, it will "grow" when they frame it. I guess I will trust them, I guess they have more experience than me. =)

So, it looks like it is ready....to start anyway. =-) The final papers have been signed and they are ready to break ground on our new HOME! We should close sometime in January. I am so excited! I will be taking pictures as progress begins and I will be sure to post them.

Other than that, there is not much news here....Jonathan and I dont see much of each other with me leaving for work as soon as he gets home, so we are both very excited about our trip next week. Jonathan has a work conference in Chicago and I get to go too! We will be gone Tuesday-Sunday. The days he has meetings I get to have leisure time at the hotel, and when he does not we will be doing some sight seeing in Chicago. I know that we get to go to a Cub's game and we get to go to Six Flags Great America! But mainly, I think we are just excited to get to spend some time with each other. =-)

The girls are growing like crazy. Savanna is trying to sit on her own and she laughs a lot now, especially at Jasmine...she rolls and scoots everywhere too. Jasmine is still saying new things everyday, she is so funny. She definitely livens up my days! =-) She loves Savanna and is such a good big sister.

The beginning of a new adventure!

Well.....we signed a contract yesterday....to build a home.....I am scared, nervous, thrilled, excited, apprehensive, ready, not ready (haha) as you can see a big mixture of emotions. But most of all, excited! If everything goes smoothly, building will begin mid-July. It will be in Lone Oak Parke, which is located near NW 164th & Portland. I think this may be one of our biggest adventures ever, aside from having babies. =) Anyway, I will try to keep everyone updated on the status, and I am going to post pics of the progress once the building begins! Until then...here are a few recent pics of the girls.

Ok, so I didn't do too well keeping my promise to post pics soon, as my lovely sister pointed out. =) Things have been crazy, and I kept waiting for them to slow down, but I decided that isn't going to happen anytime soon, so I am posting now...here are the LONG overdue zoo pictures. Jasmine and I had a lot of fun going to the zoo with friends from church, Erin and Jonathan. Jasmine and Jonathan had fun seeing animals together. We hope to go again soon!

It has been a while...

Has it really been 2 weeks since I posted??? so sorry....I have not forgot about this, I promise! Jsut trying to get into the swing of our new schedule with me working. I promise to post pics soon! In the meantime, a nutshell update would be Jasmine is talking more than ever and using the potty =), and Savanna is starting to "talk" too, and will usually reward you with a big smile if you talk to her. She is growing so much! I had to switch out all her clothes, putting all the newborn up, and pulling out the 3-6 month.

Potty Training

Oh boy....today we have started potty training with Jasmine, and I can tell already it is going to take lots of patience from Mommy. I hope we can get this done in a week or so!
Sorry I haven't posted in a while, things have been pretty busy. I do have pictures from the zoo that I will try to get up today or tomorrow. Then Wednesday I start my new part-time job at Braum's....yes, Braum's. I will be in the blue apron and hat, cute, I know. I will be working weeknight evenings and all day Saturdays to help us get completely out of debt and save for a down payment on a home. This will be an interesting adventure! =)

Savanna has grown so much in the last couple weeks. She is really starting to develop a personality and "talk" a lot. This morning she was talking while sitting in the living room and so I filmed her for just a bit. It is not very good quality because I was just using my digital still picture camera that does video clips, so it is kind of grainy, but you can still hear. =) She is sooo cute and I just love kissing on her little cheeks! =)

Another weekend has come & gone. Jonathan's family kept the girls on Friday night and Saturday, so we got to have some down time. We went and looked at the housing addition we had decided we wanted to build in. It is right were we want, (I-35 & Hefner Rd) the houses are the size we are looking for and in our price range. The addition was really lovely, cute houses, pretty landscaping, big tree....but there was one BIG problem. It is right behind Frontier City.... yeah...you may as well have been on the front row of the concert that was going on there....so, that is not going to work. We were really disappointed, but we went and looked at the other addition we really like, and decided to go with that. The thing is that it is more expensive, so it will be a couple of years before we can do it. But, I am really excited about it because it is a really nice addition with a pool and playground. =)

Tomorrow I am taking Jasmine on her first trip to the zoo! She is so excited because one of ther favorite books is Dr. Seuss' book "Put Me in the Zoo". Hopefully I will remember my camera to take pictures and I will post some.

We went and took family picture with my sisters and their families on Sunday evening for my mom for mothers day....I will post soon, but until then here is one of my fave's! =)

I can't believe it, but my precious neice Elizabeth (or "Bizbeth" as Jasmine would say) is 1 year old today!!!!! Getting to know her in this last year has been awesome. She is such a great little person. Always a smile and a light in her eyes, that can't help but make me smile too when I see her.

It's Monday...

Well, another Monday is here, and the start of a busy week. Mondays are usually spent catching up from the weekend because the house is a mess from being on the go all weekend. Jasmine is starting to be a good helper, and picking up her toys. She loves to wash dishes, and I can't wait till the day she actually knows how! Right now she mainly likes to play with the running water. =)

Tomorrow Savanna goes in for her 2 month check-up and shots...=( I hate those! I have to be the one by her face holding her still and it is not fun! When I took Jasmine I think I cried as much as she did, lol. So, be in prayer for Savanna, that the shots don't bother her too much or make her feel bad afterwards. She is growing so much....she is my little roly-poly...which is totally opposite of Jasmine!

Granny & The Girls

We have the privilege of living next door to my great-grandma, so Jasmine and Savanna's great-great-grandma. I am so happy that they both got to meet her and get to spend time with her! Jasmine LOVES granny, and so we often go over and see her. Here are some precious pictures of the girls time with granny. The one of Jazzi on the couch, is granny's couch that she has had for years that she loves to nap on. Jasmine also loves to go back there and get on the couch and "rest". It is very sweet! =)

The Beginning

Well, I never really thought I would do the blog thing....but I thought it would be a good way for out of town family, (and in town family) to keep up with our family. Especially our growing girls! We will see how well I keep it up...hopefully I will post pictures and updates often!

Here is some pics I took today...Savanna is 7 weeks old today! Jasmine is such a good big sister and loves Savanna. She likes to give her the paci and help give her bottles too. Although I have to keep a close eye, because sometimes she can be a little TOO helpful. =)
